About Roy
- I’ve loved planes since I was a child—I remember asking my parents when I was young how I could design planes for a living.
- My parents discovered aeronautical and aerospace engineering and I took that and ran with it.
- I earned my bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Wichita State University.
- After graduating, I interned at Spirit AeroSystems as a design engineer.
- I then was hired on full-time as a structural design engineer, where I primarily worked on various projects for Boeing.
- After six years, I pivoted into human resources and took on the role of talent acquisition specialist for Spirit AeroSystems.
