Life & Career Milestones
I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
Graduated High School
2.
Started my first job in the IT Industry. Started working in reception and then proceeded to sales.
3.
Earned my Public Relations Certificate with Penn Foster.
4.
Got frustrated that I wasn't using my creative abilities in my current field and lost hope I ever would and quit my job.
5.
Started working in the Veterinary Field as a receptionist. And started the Veterinary Practice Management Undergrad Cert with Penn Foster. I LOVED working with animals and working with a team.
6.
Realized the Veterinary field did not provide the creative growth I was looking for either. :(
7.
I appealed to my old job and negotiated for the marketing position and got it!
8.
Changed my degree of study to Computer Information Systems with Penn Foster! Not only is this degree relevant, it will give me technical knowledge I can use to become an IT instructor next!

How I responded:
It takes time to figure it out! I always knew I wanted to write and create things, but when I found myself stuck in an IT sales job for years, I made a random career change into the Vet field and started my studies in the Veterinary Practice Management Undergrad Cert with Penn Foster. But I soon realized that the Vet field didn't have the growth I was looking for either. I went back to my old job, negotiated for the marketing position, and then changed course to the CIS degree at Penn Foster.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Sometimes when you come across some material you are learning for the first time, or second... you tell yourself, "I am not smart enough to learn this." That is NOT True! Do not tell yourself this. You ARE smart enough. Learn to apply yourself!
