Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Friends:

"A Sociology major will never make any money - you should switch to a Business major"

  • How I responded:

What I have found in my 10 years since graduating college is that you need to find something that ignites a deep-seeded passion in you. Instead of asking "what do I want to do for a living", ask yourself, "what problem do I want to solve". Once you have clarity on that answer, you can begin back-filling your educational path in a way that accelerates your trajectory and learning toward solving that problem. Once I found "my problem", everything else fell into place.
