Life & Career Milestones

I've taken a lot of twists and turns

  • 1.

As far back as I can remember, I loved all things technology: Video Games, Computers, Phones, etc...

  • 2.

Didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, so I jumped from job to job.

  • 3.

Eventually found distribution/logistics management but still wasn't completely satisfied.

  • 4.

Distribution/logistics made me realize, I wanted something more, something else.

  • 5.

Through my family network, was offered an opportunity to learn to program with web technologies.

  • 6.

Worked hard for 10 Months teaching myself how to program.

  • 7.

After 10 mths. self-education, finally learned enough to jump into the tech industry.

  • 8.

Worked my butt off by continuing to learn while working, until I built a career in the tech industry.

Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Myself:

This is just how life is, you will have to make do with what the world offers you and suck it up

  • How I responded:

Only you can overcome you... Fight past yourself and understand that you alone have the power to overcome any situation, challenge, hurdle. We are built with the innate ability to overcome and must find a way to tap into that strength.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • When I was young, my family faced many major financial issues. Although the struggles were there, my mother did an amazing job making it seem as though these issues were minor, when in reality, they were major.

  • While in school, I had an terrible problem with concentration. Learning was difficult, I was completely disinterested with everything school was teaching. It wasn't until I began to teach myself programming that the lightbulb switched on. Eureka!

  • After many bouts with admittance to the hospital and a few genetic blood clotting disorders later, I realized just how precious/fragile life really is. Now I live my life as though there is no tomorrow, with the things that I say and the things I do.
