  • 4.

Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Family:

You need to do something where you will make money.

  • How I responded:

The person who told me that was not a happy person. Life is so much more than just a financial struggle. Being able to wake up, go to work and then to be excited by the daily challenges my job brings are worth their weight in gold. If you have a passion for your work, others will notice and you will no doubt be rewarded for your efforts.

  • Like many people, there was no way I could afford to pay for school on my own. I applied for grants and financial aid.
