My path in life has been direct
1.
I started college as an engineering major but ultimately switched to business management and finance.

I got the urge to coach basketball—one of my fellow church members and assistant principal in a neighboring county offered me the opportunity to teach and coach.
3.
With my background in finance, I ended up taking the job teaching math and coaching basketball.
4.
Because I entered the education sector through lateral entry, I faced licensing challenges—but I persevered, enhancing my resolve in the education sector.
5.
I transitioned from teaching math to school administration after being inspired by high student success rates.
6.
I became a principal quickly through the Aspiring Principals program, emphasizing the importance of leadership.
7.
Now, as a principal for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, I utilize my role to impact students and teachers positively while fostering a supportive and inclusive school culture.
